FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Do you sell your bags? We don't sell our artifacts as they are all part of The Vintage Purse Museum collection. We source our acquisitions on our own and generally do not purchase handbags offered to us via email or our social media pages. The Vintage Purse Museum is not a nonprofit, so we do not receive grants or funding. Therefore, we have an extremely limited budget. Sometimes we get donations of handbags, for which we are grateful, but our generous donors are informed that this is a privately-owned collection. We always tell those wishing to donate a handbag to first ask their local museum, fashion school, or theatre group if they are accepting donations of handbags.

2. Can I visit? Unfortunately we are unable to give tours of the collection as it is privately housed in Tucson, Arizona and is not open to the public. However, our online museum concept, which began in 2007, consists of photos of our purses and accessories, as well as accompanying educational facts and historical articles. This makes it a unique and accessible destination for our global patrons.

3. Is there an admission fee? The Vintage Purse Museum's website and Photo and History Archive are entirely free to peruse! We have sponsored ads on our website, but this does not cover costs of labor, acquisitions, web hosting or annual subscriptions to the newspaper and genealogy sites we use for research. So why do we do it? For the love of vintage fashion! We established The Vintage Purse Museum to share information about vintage handbags and their histories with anyone anywhere in the world.
